ABOUT

(100-300ppi)-2071708-2.jpg

Why is philanthropy only for the rich? Philanthropy is the love of people, and everyone should have the opportunity to participate. That's why we started SowChange. SowChange was founded on the realization that a little bit of change can go a long way.

In September of 2018, Davidson College sophomores Nathan Engstrom, Zane Libke, and Drew Eastland teamed up for the 3-day startup competition at the newly founded Jay Hurt Hub Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The team was formed because of a joint desire to do something good for the world. Thus, the idea for SowChange was born. After a whirlwind of a weekend, the pitch was well received by the panel, and Zane and Nathan decided to continue on with the project. A couple of weeks later, they were awarded the Avinger Scholarship to pursue the idea. Shortly after, Altan Tutar, a Davidson College Junior and bonafide computer wiz, was brought on to the team as head of product development. Now, SowChange is a finalist in the Davidson College Venture Fund Pitch Competition, and will be pitching on April 24th at the College. SowChange is currently in trial stages, and plans to release a full version of the app in late 2019.
